I just got my camera!  It is a newly used Canon Rebel xt.  I have a 18-55mmII 3.5.- 5.6 lens.  I am so excited.  I can not wait for daylight.

Digital SLR

I take photographs everyday and the sad thing is I do not even own a camera.  I borrow my girlfriends.  I  am extremely grateful that she has let me use it so much so I can develop my passion for photography. Over the Christmas break I had the oppertunity to shoot with a Canon EOS 50D.  It has made it hard to pick up the not as fancy but cherished, borrowed point and shoot.  I feel that it is now time for me to actually acquire an camera of my own.  I have my eye on a canon rebel. I have heard great thing about them and that they are a good spot to start with.

So this is what I am asking.  Does anyone have any leads on a gently used one?  It could be just the body.  Any help, tips on where to look would be  thanked immensely.

Thanks
Billy

Notes from the Dahll house:

Hey everyone, I am writing this on behalf of the LongWalkHome Inc. team, as I am the literary voice, while Billy is the eye. Ever since we joined DA, everyone has been extremely sweet and encouraging with their critiques. We obviously really appreciate the praise and  comments, however, like any artists, we are on a quest for improvement in our work.
It has come to our attention that it has been rare thus far to actually receive constructive criticism that helps us recognize any errors we have made and what we can do better. So here is our humble request: Please be as harsh as you feel necessary in letting us know what exactly is wrong with our pictures. Let us know what we've done wrong, what we should have done, what needs improvement, and how to go about doing that. We know that a lot of these comments might be about personal preference, which will also be welcomed, we just want people to be as honest as possible.
Although comments praising the model and how "hot" or "sexy" she is, or how you want to "fuck" that featured body part, are of course nice for the ego, they don't really help us progress and grow as artists. We would prefer to hear about what you might have done differently or not at all in terms of composition, camera settings, lighting, etc. If it sucks, please do not hesitate to let us know that, as long as the criticism is intertwined with constructive suggestion and feedback.
We want to learn as much as we can from all of you out there, you are our teachers, and any guidance will be extremely appreciated!

          Spanks so much! <3
